Day 2: Nairobi to Amboseli National Park

After breakfast, you will check out and begin your journey to Amboseli National Park. As you leave Nairobi, the road slowly opens into the open landscapes of southern Kenya, where the air feels lighter and the safari begins to take shape.

Amboseli is one of Kenya’s most beautiful safari destinations. It is famous for its large elephant herds, open plains and spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa. On clear days, the snow-capped mountain rises above the park, creating one of the most iconic safari views in East Africa.

You will arrive at Ol Tukai Lodge in time for lunch. After check-in, you will enjoy a warm meal, freshen up and have a short time to relax at the lodge. In the afternoon, our professional safari guide will take you out for your first game drive in Amboseli National Park.

During the game drive, you may see elephants, zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, wildebeest, gazelles, lions and many bird species. Amboseli is especially loved for elephant photography, and our guide will help position the vehicle respectfully so that you can enjoy the views while still giving wildlife the space it deserves.

Later in the evening, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Accommodation: Ol Tukai Lodge
Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Main Experience: Scenic drive to Amboseli and afternoon game drive

Day 3: Full Day Amboseli National Park Safari

Today is dedicated to Amboseli National Park. You will have two safari options depending on how you want to enjoy the day.

The first option is to begin with an early morning game drive. This is one of the best times to enjoy the park because wildlife is often active and Mount Kilimanjaro may be visible before clouds gather. After the morning game drive, you will return to the lodge for breakfast. The rest of the mid-morning can be spent at leisure, either relaxing at the lodge, enjoying the pool or simply taking in the peaceful safari atmosphere. After lunch, you will return to the park for an afternoon game drive.

The second option is to have an early breakfast and leave with packed lunch for a full day game drive. This gives you more time to explore Amboseli’s different habitats, including open plains, wetlands, dry lake beds and viewpoints. Our professional safari guide will help you search for elephants, lions, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, antelopes and birdlife.

Amboseli is also a beautiful place for sunrise and sunset photography. The combination of elephants, open plains and Mount Kilimanjaro makes this park one of the most photogenic safari destinations in Kenya.

In the evening, you will return to Ol Tukai Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Accommodation: Ol Tukai Lodge
Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Main Experience: Full day Amboseli safari experience
Optional Activity: Maasai cultural visit

Day 4: Amboseli National Park to Lake Naivasha

After breakfast, you will leave Amboseli National Park and begin your journey to Lake Naivasha. This is a beautiful travel day as you move from the open elephant country of Amboseli towards the calm waters and fresh air of the Great Rift Valley.

You will arrive at Lake Naivasha Country Club in time for lunch. After check-in, you will enjoy a warm meal and have time to relax before the afternoon experience.

Later, you will leave for a boat ride on Lake Naivasha. This peaceful lake is known for hippos, water birds and beautiful scenery. You will be guided by experienced local captains who understand the lake, its birdlife and the wildlife found around its shores. During the boat ride, you may see hippos resting in the water, fish eagles calling from the trees, pelicans, cormorants and other bird species.

After the boat ride, you will continue to Crescent Island Game Sanctuary for a walking safari. Crescent Island is one of Naivasha’s most special experiences because it allows you to walk among wildlife in a calm and open setting. You may see giraffes, zebras, waterbucks, gazelles and many birds while enjoying fresh air, photography and quiet views of the lake.

After this beautiful adventure, you will return to Lake Naivasha Country Club for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Lake Naivasha to Lake Nakuru National Park

After a relaxed breakfast, you will leave Lake Naivasha and drive towards Lake Nakuru National Park. The journey is short and scenic, giving you more time to enjoy the park in the afternoon.

You will arrive at Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge in time for lunch. After check-in and a short rest, our professional safari guide will take you out for an afternoon game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park.

Lake Nakuru is one of Kenya’s most beautiful Rift Valley parks. It is known for its rhino sanctuary, birdlife, acacia woodland, rocky viewpoints and the lake that often attracts flamingos and other water birds. The park protects both black and white rhinos, and it is also a good place to see Rothschild’s giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, waterbucks, baboons and, with luck, lions and leopards.

The park is also loved for its scenic viewpoints, including Baboon Cliff, Lion Hill and Out of Africa viewpoint. From these elevated points, you may see the lake, the surrounding woodland, the Rift Valley escarpment and the soft colours of the landscape below.

Later in the evening, you will return to Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, you will check out and depart for the Masai Mara National Reserve, one of Africa’s greatest wildlife reserves. This is the part of the safari where the landscape becomes wider, the wildlife becomes richer, and the journey enters one of Kenya’s most famous safari regions.

The Masai Mara is located in southwest Kenya and forms part of the greater Mara-Serengeti ecosystem. It is globally known for its big cats, open plains, rich wildlife and the Great Wildebeest Migration. Lions, leopards and cheetahs are among the most admired animals in the reserve, while elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, gazelles, wildebeest, hyenas, hippos and crocodiles also form part of the Mara experience.

You will arrive at Mara Crossing Camp in time for lunch. After check-in, you will enjoy a meal, freshen up and have a short rest. Later in the afternoon, our professional safari guide will take you out for your first game drive in the Masai Mara.

As the light softens across the plains, you will begin to experience the beauty and energy of the Mara. This is a place where every drive can bring a new sighting, a new sound and a new memory.

In the evening, you will return to the camp for dinner and overnight.

Accommodation: Mara Crossing Camp
Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Day 7: Full Day Game Drive in Masai Mara National Reserve

You will wake up in the Masai Mara, where the morning begins with cool air, golden light and the sounds of the wild. After breakfast, you will leave the camp with packed lunch for a full day game drive across the reserve.

Our professional safari guide will lead the day according to wildlife movement, weather and the best game viewing areas. You will search for the Big Five, which include lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo. You may also see cheetahs, hyenas, hippos, crocodiles, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, gazelles and many bird species.

If your honeymoon safari takes place between July and October, you may have the privilege of witnessing the Great Wildebeest Migration in the Masai Mara. During this period, thousands of wildebeest and zebras move through the reserve, and if nature allows, you may witness the powerful Mara River crossing, where the migration becomes one of the most unforgettable wildlife events in the world.

You will enjoy lunch inside the reserve, surrounded by the beauty of the Mara. Later, you will continue with the game drive before returning to the camp in the evening.

After freshening up, you will enjoy dinner and overnight at the camp.

Accommodation: Mara Crossing Camp
Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Day 8: Masai Mara Safari Experience

Today gives you another beautiful day in the Masai Mara. The programme is flexible, which allows you to choose the style of safari that best suits your honeymoon mood, interest and energy.

The first option is an optional hot air balloon safari at an extra cost. This experience begins very early in the morning and gives you a breathtaking view of the Mara from above. You will float over the plains as the sun rises, watching the rivers, grasslands and wildlife below. After landing, you will continue with game viewing before returning to the camp.

The second option is to start with an early morning game drive. This is a special time in the Mara because predators may still be active and the light is excellent for photography. After the morning game drive, you will return to the camp for breakfast, freshen up and spend part of the day at leisure. You may relax at the camp, enjoy the surroundings or simply rest before another afternoon game drive.

The third option is to leave after breakfast with packed lunch for a full day game drive. This gives you more time to explore different parts of the reserve, follow wildlife movement and search for animals that may not have been seen the previous day.

A Maasai village visit can also be arranged at an additional cost. This gives you a chance to learn about Maasai culture, traditional homes, dances, dress and community life.

In the evening, you will return to the camp for dinner and overnight.
